I haven’t made a post in nearly a month, for that I am deeply sorry to anyone who actually reads. These last few weeks have been busy and I had some huge set backs, but now I am quickly updating all the series. A few of this season’s show came to an end and I now have them loaded on the site; as well as some new series that just arrived on the scene. I’ll post more later and include a list once I’m completely updated.

Wow, some of you may have thought episode 10 was a bit boring without much action. Maybe you loved it because it didn’t have any mecha action. However, fans of the series enjoyed this episode a great deal. I knew it instantly after the first 5 seconds that this was going to be epic. My mind was blown away watching this one, go ahead and laugh if you want to. For those that don’t know yet what I’m talking about, The movie that was shot in episode 10 is almost a mirror copy of Macross Zero. This makes the movie they shot a historical movie. Macross Zero is the first in the chronological order of the series. It took place 1 year before the events of the original Macross (Robotech) that we grew up watching. I also noticed that Ranka’s brother mentioned Mao as a doctor. It makes me wonder if the Mao from Macross Zero became a doctor after the final episode. Like always if you haven’t seen the latest episode you can grab it off the download section. If you haven’t seen Macross Zero then go shoot yourself you can also grab that series off the download section here.

Here are some comparisons for you to look at.
So I just watched the Otaking’s Rise and Fall of Anime Fansubbing. Maybe it’s not so new to you guys, but I just watched it so lay off. Let me point out something before I start. I am not and have never been involved in the Japanese visual culture translation scene. The person who created these video seems like someone who is part of that circle. I’m not saying that they are, just saying that it’s what i’m going to assume until corrected.
I must admit that the introduction and first part of this youtube video series got me pretty excited. There were some mentions of old school anime and anime styles that I haven’t seen in a long time. It brought back fimilar feelings. Like I could agree with the guy when he said there wasn’t much anime in the US during the 90’s. I knew exactly what he meant when he said “fans could only dream of watching shows like Macross 7“. In those days I was a huge fan of Robotech.
